How long does it take for root canal treatment?
Root canal treatment can be completed in one or more visits depending on the complexity and severity of the condition.
An uncomplicated root canal treatment often can be completed in one office visit. In some cases, teeth may be more difficult to treat because of where they are positioned in the mouth or because some teeth have more roots than others. Treating a tooth with multiple roots takes more time. Also, some teeth have curved root canals that are difficult to find. If your tooth is infected, you may be required to visit our office several times so that your Den-Care Smile Center dentist can make sure that the infection is completely gone.
Once the root canal treatment is finished, you will need to have a crown placed on the tooth. The purpose of the crown is to prevent the tooth from breaking in the future.
