Medicaid, also known as Public Aid, Medical Card, Tarjeta Medica, Family Care or All Kids, is a government program which provides various health care services to low-income individuals and families in Illinois. The Illinois Department of Healthcare and Family Services (HFS), formerly the Illinois Department of Public Aid, provides the All Kids dental program.
Oral Surgery is provided in some cases, but not all and the coverage requirements vary, depending on the age of the individual and the type of dental care required.
Does Illinois public aid cover oral surgery?

In general, individuals between the age of 5 and 20 who are on Illinois Medicaid are entitled to certain dental services that are considered “oral surgery”. These services include tooth extractions and wisdom tooth removal.
Individuals over 21 are generally excluded from Medicaid oral surgery coverage in all but the most extreme cases.
