Dr. Eunhee Choi, D.D.S.

Dr. Eunhee Choi, DDS is a 2002 graduate of University of Illinois at Chicago College of Dentistry. She received her undergraduate degree, BS-Biology, from the University of Illinois at Urbana Champaign in 1998.

Dr. Choi utilizes the latest technology available and has a passionate interest in aesthetic dentistry. To create a natural look, Dr. Choi develops cosmetic solutions that are in harmony and blended with the rest of a patient's features. Working exclusively with a local lab, she partners with technicians to customize the color of veneers and crown for her patients.

Dr. Choi believes that in order for a dentist to provide the quality care that her patients deserve, she must continue to educate herself. She stays on top of the latest techniques in dentistry by completing over 30 hours per year of continuing education in her field.

Dr. Choi is a member of the American Dental Association, Illinois Dental Association, Chicago Dental Society, and Academy of General Dentistry.

Outside of dentistry, Dr. Choi enjoys traveling, reading, and taking walks with her dog, Hobbes. She is dedicated to her profession and hopes to help you with your dental needs.

Dr. Barbara R. Lewis, D.M.D.

Dr. Lewis was born in Chicago and raised in the Chicago suburbs. In 1987 she received her B. S. degree in Biology at Tulane University in New Orleans. In May 1992 she received her Dental Degree from Tufts University School of Dental Medicine in Boston.

Dr. Lewis loves to treat patients of all ages, including young children and elderly patients, in the most gentle manner possible. She even uses Nitrous Oxide (laughing gas) when necessary. She is passionate about helping relieve patients who have dental pain. And Dr. Lewis enjoys giving her patients beautiful smiles by such cosmetic procedures as bleaching and veneers.

When Dr. Lewis is not working, she spends most of her time raising her three beautiful young sons. She and her husband love to travel when they can. They have been to many interesting places such as the Amazon, Galapagos, Peru, Ecuador, Nepal, Vietnam, India, Thailand, Israel, and Jamaica. When she can, Dr. Lewis tries to stay in shape by attending Spinning classes.

Personal Interests

I reside in Round Lake with my husband and baby girl and I love spending time with my family. In my spare time I like to experiment with cooking, being a die hard fan of Food Network. I am also a voracious reader (anything but science fiction), who just won't put down a book if it piques my interest.

Special Interests

I enjoy oral surgery a lot as I got plenty of training in the field while doing Internship in India.

Dr. Olga Thurman

Dr. Thurman was born and raised in Russia where she received her doctoral
dental degree in 1995. She has practiced dentistry for 6 years in her native country before she moved to the Unites States in 2001. She enjoyed living in a new environment but soon realized that she missed her profession terribly.

Dr. Thurman decided to pursue a dental career in the US and got accepted to the University of Illinois at Chicago College of Dentistry where she successfully graduated in 2006.

Dr. Thurman has been an associate of Den-Care Smile Center since 2006. She describes herself as a caring and versatile doctor who enjoys all parts of dentistry. Her favorite part of being a dentist is working with people. In her opinion, dentistry is not just about relieving pain, or improving a smile. To her dentistry is about having trustful relationships with patients, watching kids get older, and sharing laughter. She is very approachable and gentle.

Dr. Thurman lives with her husband and dog in Lake Villa, Illinois. She is an enthusiastic traveler with over 20 countries visited in the last 10 years. She also enjoys international cuisine and likes to explore new cultures. She is very interested in World history, with particular interest in the French and British Kingdoms of the Middle Centuries. As her guilty pleasure she especially enjoys watching reality television shows.

Dr. Sumita Bhargava

"I follow the same principles for treatment of my patients as I would for my own family. I love to see a smile on them before they leave my office. I consider this as my biggest reward for the day."

I graduated in 2007 from University of California San Francisco School of Dentistry. I received a Masters degree in Pediatric Dentistry from King George's Medical College. After that, I practiced dentistry for a few years in India before I came to the United States with my husband.

My professional affiliations include American Dental Association, Illinois Dental Society, Chicago Dental Society, Indian Society of Pediatric Dentists, and Indian Dental Association.

I have two kids-a five year old son and an infant daughter. I love to spend my vacations in scenic places like Yosemite Valley. My hobbies are centered on dexterous activities like painting and sketching. I also enjoy cooking and gardening.

Heather Anderson, RDH

Education

• 1997 Graduated with high honors from Zion Benton Township High School.

• 1997-1997 Attended Northern Illinois University, Dekalb, IL.

• 1998-2004 Graduated with honors from the College of Lake County, Grayslake, IL with an associates in Applied Science majoring in Dental Hygiene.

Employment

I began working at the Den-Care Smile Center when I was a junior in high school as the sterilization laboratory technician. After a few months, I began to cross train as a dental assistant. I worked as an assistant until I left to attend Northern Illinois University in Dekalb, IL. There I majored in early childhood education. It wasn't long until I began to realize I truly missed working in the dental profession. Northern Illinois University didn't offer a dental program so I returned home and started working at the Smile Center again while attending night classes at the College of Lake County. In 2002, I was accepted into their Dental Hygiene program. I worked for Dr. Sven in Antioch, IL upon graduating and returned to the Smile Center as their first Dental Hygienist in 2005.

Personal Interests

My hobbies are scrap booking, photography, reading, shopping, and anything that involves my two amazing children, Kelsey and Karson. I also enjoy watching reality T.V. I have a very large family and love to spend time with them.
